Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How long does the videotaping take?
Videotaping a video at your place of business takes approximately one hour, in some cases less.
What do I do with my video?
You should put it on your website, preferably on your homepage so that prospective customers can quickly gain an understanding of your business, product or service. We will send you code to paste into your webpage so the video plays automatically when visitors come to your website.
How should I prepare for the videotaping?
Don't write a script. Instead, create 4-5 bullet points that would be reasons your customers purchase from you. There are two reasons for this. First, creating bullets points for reference rather than a script for your voice-over will make your voice come across as more friendly and conversational. A script sounds scripted and unfriendly. Second, by citing reasons your customers purchase from you, you're appealing to prospective customers who would purchase from you for the same reasons. These two preparation points will have the most impact on the success of your video. You should have your bullet points organized and written down prior to the producer arriving at your place of business.
How many edits can I make?
After you've received a draft of your video and viewed it, you can make one free edit at no cost. After the producer has made your free edit, you can continue to make edits, however, each edit after your first edit will cost you $105 per editing session.
What if I want to make edits a few months down the road?
If you want to make any edit after you have approved your video, you can do so for an editing charge of $105 per editing session and usually applies to changing graphics or text on your video. This cost does not include additional videotaping. If you would like additional videotaping with your additional edits, you can have a videographer come back to your place of business and videotape additional footage. Any editing you make can not exceed materially 40% of your existing video as determined by a QuickPro Video, Inc. representative.
What if I don't like my video?
You will need to identify specifically what it is you don't like about your video so your producer can make changes. If your reason for disliking your video has to do with shots filmed, you can request that your producer come back to your place of business and shoot additional footage for a $105 fee. Editing additional footage into your video will also cost $105. If your producer has made editing changes to your video and you are still dissatisfied, you will need to discuss your reasons for your dislike of your video with a QuickPro Video, Inc. company representative.
Is there a discount for multiple videos?
Not usually. Since our videos are already priced lower than industry standard, we cannot typically reduce the price of our videos, even with multiple video orders. However, your sales representative can discuss possible options for reducing your cost based on a 20 video or more video order.
Can I get a DVD copy of my video?
Yes. QuickPro Video, Inc. can burn and mail you a copy of your video on DVD for viewing for a cost of $65. QuickPro Video, Inc. does not allow companies to make copies of their video from this DVD as this constitutes copyright infringement. QuickPro Video offers duplication of your video on DVD for $3.00 apiece in multiples of 100. We do not offer bulk pricing for DVD copies of your video.
Can I use my video as a television commercial?
No. The video produced by QuickPro Video, Inc. is not a broadcast quality video. It is intended for Internet marketing purposes only and, as such, is compressed for this purpose. Compressed video will come across in a very low resolution when attempted to be broadcast on television and will not reflect positively on your company.
Do I need to use QuickPro Video, Inc. to host my video?
Yes. Any video produced by QuickPro Video, Inc. must be first hosted on our video server and you must pay QuickPro Video, Inc. a modest fee for this monthly service.
Will professional talent be used on my video?
Yes, but only if you hire and pay or otherwise make arrangements for the professional talent. If you choose to use professional talent, you must have them sign a professional talent release form which you can type and have them sign.
What's the process for videotaping?
A producer will contact you to schedule a 1-hour videotaping session and to coach you through the taping process. The producer will show up on the scheduled day and time, introduce themself, then find a suitable location to tape your introduction. You will tape a brief 5 to 7-second introduction which will take approximately 10 minutes. You will then read your bullet-points for the video voice-over. Your voice-over reading won't have you on-camera. The producer will only be taping your voice. Taping this portion should only take about 5 minutes. Once the producer has captured your voice-over, they will then tape your product or place of business basing the shooting they do on what you said during your voice-over. Then the producer has completed these three steps, they'll notify you that they've completed the shooting. If you have a disc with photos, graphics or your company logo, you should give it to the producer at this time. You should only give the producer a disc that you don't need back as they can not be responsible for getting it back to you.
What happens after the video is shot?
The producer will take the footage shot at your location and begin editing it together based on your introduction and what you said during the voice-over segment of your video. Once they've edited the video together, they'll upload it and you'll be notified that the video draft is ready for your review.
Can I use company product photos in my video?
Absolutely! In fact, we encourage product photos you use in other marketing material in your video because it creates a consistent branding message for your product. Our producers accept practically any photo file type. If they receive one from you they can't open, they'll simply notify you and ask to format the file in another format. Common photo formats we recommend are .jpeg, .gif, .pdf, .tiff and .eps.
Can I use my logo in my video?
Yes. As with photos, we can incorporate practically any logo into your video. We simply request that you provide us the highest quality logo file so it lends to the high level of quality of your video.
If I don't have a place to videotape, where would you videotape?
We can and have videotaped practically anywhere. If you are in a service-related industry, we can meet you at a job site or customer's place of business, so long as you've received permission to videotape your video at their business. Most businesses have customers who speak highly of them and would be glad to have you film at their company, especially if only for an hour. If you aren't able to videotape at a customer's location where you can demonstrate performance of your service, we would recommend a location that can effectively convey the service your company provides. Make sure you communicate with your producer regarding the location where you'll be shooting your video if it's different from where you conduct business.
What do you do for lawyers, accountants and professionals like that?
We recommend that you film in your office so long as it conveys a professional image. You will be on-camera longer than most, should talk about the variety of services you provide, and mention how your services benefit your clients. We would also recommend grabbing a co-worker in your office to appear as a client on-camera with whom you are conferring. We'll edit your video together and including on-screen text that complements the points about which you're speaking.
How many locations will you be videotaping at?
For our basic price, we'll be videotaping at one location. If you would like to videotape at multiple locations, please let us know so we can communicate the request with the producer. You will be charged $105 for each location where we shoot video other than the original first location.
What if I don't want to be on camera?
We can either videotape your voice and use it as voice-over throughout the video or we can videotape one of the key people within your company to represent your business. You will simply need to prepare them in advance of the video shoot. We always recommend having you or a representative from your company on-camera since they will put a personal face to your company, create familiarity, and an implied business relationship.
How long is the video?
Our standard video length is thirty seconds. If you would like a 60-second video or longer, please speak with your sales representative to discuss alternatives we offer.
Who owns the video?
QuickPro Video, Inc. owns all video copyrights unless a contract with a company for the production of high-quantity videos has been agreed upon. Video ownership can be transferred to you but is typically cost-prohibitive.
Can I use the video on places other than my website?
QuickPro Video, Inc. is developing relationships with Internet Yellow Pages companies that can help distribute your video and optimize it so more and more people will see it. You may not distribute your video to sites that are not approved partners with QuickPro Video, Inc.
Where all can my video be seen?
Initially, your video can be seen on your website. QuickPro Video, Inc. is developing partnerships so your video can be seen on Internet Yellow Pages sites and search engines such as Google and Yahoo. Direct marketing of your video on these sites is strictly prohibited.
What format is the video in?
We encode your video in Adobe Flash. It is estimated that approximately 98% of all viewers of online video have Flash Viewer installed on their computer, whether they actually use it as their primary viewer of video or not. If a viewer is unable to see your video, they either have a very old version of Flash Player or they don't have Flash Player installed at all. In addition to providing the best platform on which to play video, Flash allows video to be compressed so it can download and play faster on a user's computer.
What happens to the hosting after the 12 months?
Your credit card will automatically be billed $9.95 per month until you cancel your order.
What if I want another video?
